During the pandemic, while studying for my MBA, I wanted a new hobby. I chose photography. I bought my first camera and lens, and luckily my wife enjoys being photographed. It became something we could do together during social isolation — a way to stay creative while the world was on pause.
After the pandemic, my interest only grew stronger. I discovered I loved taking pictures of people. Photography gave me a way to meet new people, share experiences, and then see those moments turned into photographs. One turning point came at a picnic, where I carried my camera, as always. I took some photos, shared them with the event organizer, and later they purchased some from me. That was the moment I realized photography could be more than just a hobby; it could also be a business.
As a business student, I was already active in many entrepreneurial clubs in Helsinki. I always carried my camera, capturing moments wherever I could. Over time, I improved, and soon people from my network started inviting me to photograph their events. My passion for photography, combined with my love for business, naturally led me to focus on professional headshots and event photography.
Today, I see corporate photography as more than just taking pictures. It’s a way to connect with business-minded people, understand their goals, and help them look confident and professional. For me, every photo is about building trust, telling a story, and making sure my clients can showcase the best version of themselves and their work.
